B A Functional English is the advanced level English programme with in an interactive approach. The functional English course is designed in such a way that a student who has completed the course is able to meet any demand of English in their career whether it be written or spoken. On the successful completion of this three year course in Functional English, a student can walk in to the world of media related jobs, teaching, business or even banking with great confidence. Functional English course provides various career options for candidates possessing excellent communication skill and good knowledge of English language so that clients can be served better.

SCOPE

Functional English programme concentrate on application of English in major areas – media, business, translation, creative writing, advertising, films, sports and entertainment, basic language skills LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Candidates can be search in the jobs in the field of mass communication and journalism after finishing B A Functional English

This degree course enables the students to go for various English language related jobs
One can go for higher degree programmes in respective subject such as masters degree and then for research studies
They can also become teachers in schools and after passing master degree plus UGC- NET exam they can go for permanent jobs in college

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission
