CYBER SECURITY
The Department of Computer Science organized a workshop on "CYBER SECURITY" on 25-02-2025 (Tuesday) from 11.00 AM TO 12.45 PM.
The HOD Department of computer science Ms. Aswathi T welcomed the speakers for the day by Mr. Aril Michael Network Faculty, Jetking infotrain LTD, Kochi. The workshop focused on the different types of cyber-attacks and the remedy from these attacks. The workshop aimed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in various aspects of cyber security and also explained various topics relating to cybercrime,cyberlaws, hacking, spamming, android hacking, social media its advantages& disadvantages and gave students’ knowledge about various tools involved in hacking, demonstrated. He also gave relatable real-life examples about how people have been affected by hacking and other cybercrimes. He cautioned the students and explained them about various measures they should take to safeguard themselves from such cybercrimes.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks given by SAFNA P (6th semester BSc computer science). A short feedback session was also conducted for the participants to gather their opinions and suggestions regarding the event.
