Gender Equity Awareness Class – "Stronger Together: Gender Equity for a Better Tomorrow"
The Departments of Management Studies, Economics and Computer Science organized a Gender Equity Awareness Class on “STRONGER TOGETER-GENDER EQUITY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW” on 14th February 2025 (Friday) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The event commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Mr. Ajnas Babu, 4th BBA Student, Department of Management Studies. Following this, the programme was formally inaugurated by Mr. M T Shamsudheen, Principal of KMCT Arts & Science College.
The main session was conducted by Adv. Sunish Moncy, Assistant Professor, Department of Low, KMCT Low College. Adv. Sunish Moncy discussed various aspects of gender equity, including the history of gender roles, the impact of unequal gender representation in leadership, and the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities. He also addressed the legal frameworks that support gender equity and how students can contribute to promoting gender equality in their communities. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks given by Ms. Ummu Habeeba, 4th Semester BAEFT Student, Department of Economics.
