The PG Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC, KMCT Arts and Science College, organized a one-day workshop titled “Know Your Tax Better: An Introductory Workshop on Income Tax” on 21st October 2025. The session was conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the college Seminar Hall. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Munavvar Sadiq, Founder & CEO of IBAT India, EduBat Global Pvt. Ltd., and CCG India & UAE. He is an eminent professional with vast experience in taxation and financial consultancy.

The session aimed to create awareness among students about the fundamentals of income tax, its importance, and the procedures involved in tax filing. Mr. Munavvar Sadiq provided valuable insights into various aspects of the Indian taxation system, including taxable income, deductions, exemptions, and recent amendments in tax laws. The session was highly informative and interactive, allowing students to clarify their doubts regarding practical tax-related matters.

The workshop proved to be an excellent learning opportunity for commerce students, enabling them to enhance their understanding of taxation and financial planning. The active participation of students contributed to the success of the event. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by a faculty member from the Department of Commerce, expressing gratitude to the resource person, management, and participants for their support and cooperation.
