The Department of English conducted a department fest and its first ever magazine release on 20^th February 2025. The programme held in two sessions, the first session was an engaging session illuminated with the presence of the renowned writer Nizaar Ilthumish. He unveiled the magazine Lexicon and enhanced the session with his eventful journey of life. The session was mind blowing filled with early experiences of travelling and eloping from home. He discussed his journey of life that made a writer. Students showed enthusiasm and asked questions regarding his life experiences.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by Mrs.Gangadevi MP, Assistant professor and department coordinator. Mr. Shamudheen MT, the college principal inaugurated the department fest and writer Nizaar Ilthumish unveiled the department magazine and Mr. Vineeth K, HOD Department of English gave the presidential address. In the morning session there was an interactive and thought provoking session with the guest. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by the student coordinator Ms. Rifa KP.

In the afternoon session the fest began with joy and game spirit. The afternoon session was filled with enjoyment. Students across the institution participated in various competitions such as spelling bee, RJ hunt, and Game room. RJ hunt revealed talent and gave an exposure to the students while spelling bee showcased students’ ability in language and boosted their vocabulary. Game Room was the most interesting part of the fest that witnessed greater number of participants.

The program came to an end with its closing ceremony that endowed prizes to the winners in various events. HOD of the Department shared his gratitude and joy with everyone for making the event colorful.
