Observation Visit
As part of the open-ended module, the 3rd semester students undertook an observation visit on 18th September 2025 to two reputed organizations: Amar Saath Foundation, Edappally, Ernakulam and the Hilldaari Project Plan, Munnar.
The visit to Amar Saath Foundation provided the students with an opportunity to understand the organization’s initiatives in supporting marginalized communities and promoting social inclusion. Students could closely observe the functioning of the foundation and interact with the team to learn about their intervention strategies.
Later, the students visited the Hilldaari Project Plan, Munnar, where they explored the sustainable community-driven initiatives in waste management and environmental conservation. The exposure helped them gain insights into eco-friendly practices and the importance of participatory approaches in community development.
The observation visit enabled the students to broaden their knowledge, connect theory with practice, and reflect on innovative approaches to social work and community empowerment. Overall, the visit was enriching and contributed greatly to their academic and professional learning.
On 18th September 2025, the 3rd semester students visited Srishti DARE Charitable Trust, Munnar as part of their open-ended module. The organization, which is dedicated to the rehabilitation and empowerment of differently abled children and adults, offered the students an opportunity to observe inclusive educational and vocational training practices. The visit helped them understand the role of social work in promoting self-reliance, dignity, and social integration of differently abled individuals, thereby bridging classroom knowledge with practical field experiences.
