PREP TO LEAD – MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TRAINING

On August 1, 2025, the Department of Management Studies conducted a seminar in the seminar hall for second-year and final-year students, focusing on strategies to crack the Common Admission Test (CAT) and other management exams. The seminar provided an in-depth overview of the CAT exam pattern, syllabus, and preparation techniques.

Students learned about the three sections of the CAT exam: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA), each with a 40-minute duration. The session emphasized the importance of creating a daily study schedule, practicing with previous year's question papers and mock tests, and enhancing general knowledge through current affairs. Students were also introduced to recommended resources, including books like 'How to Prepare for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for CAT' by Arun Sharma and Meenakshi Upadhyay, and online platforms such as Cracku and Careers360.

The faculty motivated students to write the exam, highlighting the opportunities it presents, such as admission to top-tier business schools like IIMs, securing a promising career in management, and developing valuable skills in leadership, strategy, and entrepreneurship. The seminar concluded with valuable tips for success, including starting preparation early, focusing on building basics, and managing stress through regular practice. Overall, the seminar equipped students with the knowledge and strategies needed to excel in the CAT and other management exams
