World Population Day

On the occasion of World Population Day, observed on 11th July 2025, Departments of Economics and Social Work jointly organized a series of awareness activities to highlight the significance of population-related issues and promote student engagement. The programme featured a digital poster making competition where students creatively depicted the theme of Population and the Planet. A paper presentation session provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the Population Explosion: Causes and Consequences. An elocution competition encouraged participants to voice their perspectives on the burden of over population, showcasing excellent oratory skills and critical thinking. Additionally, an essay writing competition was conducted, focusing on the effect of overpopulation on environment. All events witnessed enthusiastic participation, and winners were recognized for their outstanding contributions. The observance successfully fostered awareness, creativity, and informed dialogue among students, marking the day with meaningful educational engagement.
