AKSHARA DYUTHI READING DAY
The Reading Day Celebration was organized on 19th June 2025 to commemorate the legacy of P.N. Panicker and to foster a love for reading among students. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation from both students and staff. The program commenced with a serene prayer, invoking blessings for the successful conduct of the Reading Day celebrations.
The celebrations were formally inaugurated by the Principal, Mr M T Shamsudheen who lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the day’s activities.Students and staff came together to take the Reading Day Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to making reading an integral part of their daily lives.Students participated with great enthusiasm in the Stall Arrangement Competition, creatively displaying books and creating thematic book corners. The stalls were a visual treat and inspired a keen interest in reading. A Reel Making Competition(Ram c/o anandhi - Akhil P Dharmajan) was conducted, where students created short and captivating reels highlighting the joy of reading and its significance in shaping young minds. Various Spot Games were organized throughout the event, making the celebrations interactive and enjoyable. These games were designed to test students’ knowledge, quick thinking, and love for words and literature. The Reading Day celebrations were a huge success, reminding everyone of the vital role reading plays in shaping knowledge and character. The program inspired students and teachers alike to adopt reading as a lifelong habit and strengthened the college literary culture. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of various competitions. Teachers and students alike appreciated the efforts taken to organize the day and reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing a strong reading culture.
